Chateau Beaucastel, Cotes-du-Rhone 'Coudoulet du Beaucastel', 2022 limit-1-per-customer Brent Mayeaux got his startChateauneuf terroir on the wrong side of a motorway. Coudoulet's thirty hectares sit directly across the A7 from Chateau de Beaucastel, on the same Miocene molasse seabed under the same coat of galets roules, the big rolled pebbles that soak up heat all day and hand it back at night, but a few hundred metres outside the Chateauneuf du Pape boundary, so it goes out as Cotes du Rhone.
